SPECIAL: Looking ahead
OK just so you know how we are going to do this:
SPECIAL articles will be announcements etc.
NEWS articles will be timely responses to anything we come across in the media that we want to focus on.
EVENT articles will be pointers to interesting events coming up that focus on at least one of the key City Hippy topics. If you have events to suggest for inclusion then email us at
REVIEW: articles will be reviews of books, movies and anything else we feel the need to review. Feel free to make suggestions for reviews.
FEATURE articles will appear less often but will be a more in-depth look at a particular issue. Whenever we focus on a problem we will aim to provide a solution.
SPECIAL: Welcome to City Hippy
City Hippy is published by an anonymous bunch of folks based in London, UK with other contributions from across the globe. What is a City Hippy? We think it's someone who lives in a city and who wants to live a green and fair life. What do we mean by a 'green and fair life'? Essentially 'green' related to anything organic or kind to the environment whilst 'fair' related to Fairtrade or ethical consumerism. What is the goal of City Hippy? This blog is going to chart our efforts to live that green and fair life. The site will provide summaries of our struggles, show how we make changes in our lives, provide reviews about products and services we come across and offer other advice across a wide range of related topics all centering around the green and fair worlds i.e. organic & fair trade. This blog is not a bitch-fest. We are not here to moan and groan about things, we are here to try and solve problems. Positive action is our goal.If you have any suggestions about issues to cover or products to check out then just email us at We have no schedule for posting currently so check back regularly.NamasteThe City Hippy Team
