NEWS: Urgent!!! Save our TucTucs!

It wasn't very long ago that I was telling you all about the exciting new tuk tuks that had burst onto the Brighton & Hove scene.

Alas, after just one month of operation, they are already in trouble. The TucTucs have a bus operators licence and The Taxi Trade Forum is alleging that they are not sticking to the strict timetable that this licence requires. The matter is now going to a public inquiry.

As you know, this is a very new company and we want to give them a chance. As Dominic Ponniah, founder of TucTuc Ltd, said in this month's 'Rocks' magazine: "We are a small, independent company pioneering the first service of its kind anywhere in the world and feel extremely disappointed that a handful of individuals in the taxi trade have complained about a service less than one month old. Our small fleet represents no competition to taxis and we will defend robustly any allegations they, or others, make. We hope that the fantastic people of Brighton & Hove will support TucTuc by signing our online petition."

If you want to save the TucTuc, sign the petition now. I'll keep you updated!

Take care,

Katie
