NEWS: Let's all FUKC

Greenpeace have a great campaign highlighting how Kimberley Clark and Kleenex are clearcutting ancient forests to produce tissues.

Basically it is a design a t-shirt competition...CH will try and come up with a design...why not have a go yourself?

Interesting it should be a shirt. The one industry most in need of fair trade is cotton. I will be attending a conference at SOAS next week on cotton in Central Asia. One of the issues on the agenda is fair trade and labor rights. I will be writing about the conference on my blog. Actually I have already put up a few posts on preparing for it.

Hey there

yes...a good point...although perhaps they will use hemp to make the shirt or even bamboo or soya which I have heard about recently. Let's hope it is not cotton and that it is organic and fairtrade.
