NEWS: Funding for renewable energy in Scotland

The Scottish Executive have given the Scottish Community and Householder Renewables Initiative (SCHRI) extra funding so that more people can benefit from their grants for home and small-scale renewable energy projects.

If you are wanting to put a wind turbine or solar panels on your house you can apply for up 30% of the costs (maximum £4k). If it's a community scheme you can get up to £10k for a feasibility study and up to £100k for the actual project.

What I would love to see is a way for people who rent their homes to be able to do this kind of thing.
